Hmmm. Point of logical order: Satan, ironically, the bearer of light, and ruler of Hell will administer the appropriateness of the punishments for God or will God do it? My intelligent God wouldn't allow a deceiver, rebel and apostate to rule of a dominion which He created because God's in charge in everything including the punishments in Hell. So, what exactly is Satan's role here? To provide opportunity for mortals to screw up? What's up with that? At least in a Karmic model the onus is back on the actor.
God created everything, right? Including Hell and Satan. If God is all powerful, and he created a Hell for people like me but not for Dahmer who became a Christian in jail, then, I assert, he is a dolt. My God is not a dolt. Why? Because I, a creature of intelligence made in his image, wouldn't do something that stupid.
You know, Greg, the thing about serial killers is that they usually know what they are doing is wrong but just don't care. Sometimes, they claim, it is a process like a sneeze, that is somehow unavoidable. They may even feel bad between incidents. A crazy person who murders someone because they are delusional (misinterpreting their victim as Satan, for instance) is possibly not even guilty of anything from a moral POV. It does lead us to question "why" this would happened. At least in a Karmic sense, it is possible they are just an agent and the victims and survivors are trapped in a little play performed for their benefit to teach a lesson that is greater than this little planet and our puny lives. In your model, we are left with a God being a jerk. |
