for what it's worth,

per its conference call, idt has signed an agreement with a tier 1 mobile wi-fi carrier, to cover the u.s. idt will terminate calls for that carrier overseas from the u.s. there are evidently only three such carriers in the u.s. -- sprint, t-mobile, and i can't recall the third.

idt has a new agreement with t-mobile overseas (the toucan stuff). the carrier is not one with many agreements with telecoms (sprint would be an example of a co. with u.s. agreements).

there will be staged rollouts thru the rest of the year, with a full rollout in 2006.

t-mobile is owned by deutsch telecom.

It is also addressing one of its outstanding business issues -- its over-reliance on a small number of customers -- though it still has a way to go. Sonus says that in the fourth quarter of 2004, it had four 10 percent-plus customers -- IDT Corp. (NYSE: IDT - message board), Level 3 Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: LVLT - message board), Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q - message board), and Time Warner Telecom Inc. (Nasdaq: TWTC - message board) – which, between them, delivered 52 percent of the quarter's $45.1 million in sales.

For example, analysts on today's call were treated to the following soundbites:

• "We're very excited about the major new networks we're involved with"

• "We're very excited about our international orders"

• "The breadth of our trials are significant" in the wireless sector

• The fourth quarter witnessed the "strongest order activity in our history"

• Sonus is "very optimistic about our ability to expand our footprint as a result of North American carrier consolidation."
