Mytec Appoints New President and C.E.O.

Mytec Technologies Inc., which specializes in privacy and security technologies, announced
today that Thomas Grecco has been appointed as Mytec President and Chief Executive

Board of Directors.

Mr. Grecco takes over the position from Mytec co-founder Dennis Hollingshead , who has
been elected Chairman of Mytec. Mr. Hollingshead will continue as President of
Counterforce, Mytec's wholly-owned security alarm monitoring division.

"This appointment is a very important step forward as Mytec moves from the development
stage to full commercialization of our biometric products," said Mr. Hollingshead. "Mr.
Grecco brings with him a wealth of experience with commercial high tech products."

Previously, Mr. Grecco worked for Tandem Computers Canada Limited, where he served
as President and CEO since 1994. From 1991 to 1994, he served as Vice President, Sales
and Operations, Government, Commercial and Financial Area. He has worked for Olivetti
Canada Limited and Canada Systems Group.

"I am very excited about joining such a dynamic, leading-edge company," said Mr. Grecco. "I

Mytec's biometric products."

Mytec's Board of Directors also announced that the Company co-founder, Dr. George
Tomko, has resigned as Chairman effective immediately. Dr. Tomko will remain a board

encryption key to code data. Mytec's products are designed to enable secure transmission of
information across the Internet and to eliminate fraud associated with unauthorized use of

Counterforce, Mytec also provides alarm monitoring services to more than 600
partner/dealers who sell, install and service security alarm systems.

Mytec is a public company listed on The Toronto Stock Exchange under the trading symbol
