I'm not going to defend democrats, except to say that they are better than republicans in defending the little guy in America.

And when the democrats were in charge during the Vietnam war, I was critical of LBJ...and then Nixon, regardless of the party.

Don't you remember this chant: Hey hey LBJ, how many boys did you kill today? Maybe you're too young to remember Vietnam.

I hope you understand the ramifications of the latest Bush budget. It's includes a $400 billion dollar deficit, mainly due to increases in military spending and huge tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations. The republicans have become the no tax and spend party. Very dangerous course of action for our economy.

And what are they spending all the borrowed money on? Military expenditures are up, social spending is down. This goes along with the number 7 as you mentioned. But keep in mind that we spend $400 billion on defense. Our five closest allies spend $150 billion combined while Russia and China spend less than $50 billion each. We dwarf the world in military spending. No price too high to bring corporatism...er a...democracy to the world...so heck put it on the credit card.
