One of my closest and oldest friends is a quadriplegic, he got married about 7 years ago (he became paralyzed about 25 years ago). They are doing great.

Had a real pleasant surprise the last time we met for lunch. I expected him to arrive in a van with a driver (I used to drive him in college, flipped him over a couple of times when we had been drinking), and he drives up in a mini-van that they rigged him so he could drive himself. He had a huge grin on his face.
