First off, I apologize to KG4 for this off-topic post, but I cannot PM at my user level, and I think you'll find this amusing anyway KG4.

Emmerofshmoe: John Hollen banned me from the APXR board over two weeks ago (apparently out of raw spite), which is why I haven't posted since. If you start your own APXR board I would be happy to post. I promise this will be the only time I ever post off topic again KG.
...

I suspect the activity can be attributed to all the buzz and wrangling going on in Washington about drilling in ANWR, with several votes that have been pending for a while.

Saw this today:

"Senate has votes to keep ANWR in budget"

Washington, DC, Mar. 15 (UPI) -- Supporters of oil exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge appear to have enough votes to keep it in the FY 2006 Senate budget resolution.

...
ANWR opponents, led by Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., stripped the drilling revenue language from the 2005 budget resolution on a 52-48 vote. Since then, three pro-drilling senators have replaced three opponents, meaning that if no other votes change, the measure would pass, 51-49.

and see this:

"Open ANWR to drilling, Bush says:"

[World News]: COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 9 : Calling U.S. dependence on imported oil a national security issue, President Bush Wednesday renewed his call for drilling in part of Alaska.

Drilling in a small part of the Artic National Wildlife Reserve, he said, would eventually reduce U.S. dependence on foreign oil by 1 million barrels a day.

"Thanks to advances in technology ...we can now reach all of ANWR's oil by drilling on just 2,000 acres. Two thousand acres is the size of the Columbus airport.By applying the most innovative environmental practices, we can carry out the project with almost no impact on land or local wildlife," he said.

See all the wrangling going on?

And it looks like the final Omnibus Energy bill won't be voted on until later this year:

I mean you can do a Google News search on "ANWR" to find all the relevant news, but it remains a hot topic especially with energy prices exploding. This energy problem is sure as hell not going away, which is why I've considered APXR a decent short term gamble. In all honesty I really haven't performed my DD and I've simply been speculating on the merits of this company so you probably know a lot more than me, but please start another APXR thread if you want to chat more.
