Sorry but maybe the right was shut out previously because they did not know how to behave in mixed company No generally they were probably more polite than they are now, and on many issues less conservative as well but the liberals had the power and decided that conservative messages were verboten. But when for some reason the conservative message could not be quieted or marginalized it was harshly attacked. We're told things like Goldwater was going to cause a nuclear war,and that every conservative who isn't an obvious intellectual heavyweight is at least stupid if not a total moron. Conservatives are called fascist, inbred, and full of hate. And I'm not even going to the more extreme elements on the left, like those who think the people in the world trade towers deserved their fate, or those who claim that Bush or Cheney, or Carl Rove ordered 9/11 to happen. If you want to complain about the political climate being harsh, well your right it is. But this hole story about the liberals being so innocent, or only reluctantly being dragged in to the mud because of the relentless attacks of the conservatives is a bunch of BS. Tim
