How about the torture of 1 vile person if it would save the lives of 1 million?

Can you give me one example of successful interrogation using torture? How many were tortured and how many were saved?

The world has changed since a few years ago.

That's for sure. Bush told the nation that we needed to invade Iraq to stop Saddam from using the torture chambers and rape rooms.

What he didn't tell us was that we were going to be taking the rape rooms and torture chambers over.

I am not condoning torture, but if it will save many lives, then unfortunately it is a must-do.

You are condoning torture. You are a hypocrite. Torture has never been an effective tool for interrogation. The French were some of the best torturers. They used it extensively in Vietnam. We all know their fate there.

But for one moment, lets assume that torture really works.( It doesn't but...) Wouldn't you want to apply the most torture to most important detainee that you have? And in that case...wouldn't Saddam himself have more information than the common sweep em up on the street poor Iraqi SOB?

So my question is...why have we not taken Saddam into the torture chamber and gotten all that info from him? He knows more than anyone in Iraq...no doubt. If you're going to torture someone...start at the top right?

As for Bush supporting the troops...what a joke. He let the soldiers at Abu Ghraib take the blame for his policies. I suppose when these soldiers were packing for Iraq...they put those hoods, leashes...and "extra pairs of underwear" in their duffels, just in case there's a chance to do some torturin'. Oh yea...better bring my electrocution generator and the wire clips too...ya never know when warming up someone's nutsack will yield an enemy hiding place!

This is what Bush wants me to believe? LOL. Those soldiers are innocent. They ought to be replaced in the court proceedings by Rumsfeld himself.

Torture is a dream for a fascist...who enjoys inflicting pain on another human being. No self respecting interrogator thinks that torture yields good results. What the wide spread of torture under this administration shows us is a pervasive fascist attitude, and nothing more.
