It is shocking to say the least. The US is the biggest shareholder in the bank, but then again, does any country ever really repay what they are lent, or is this more of a carrot & stick type deal?

Heck, lend me a few $billion, and tell me to toe the line and the money is free, and I think I could be co-opted....
