They conveniently forgot (MY! HOW CONVENIENT!) just how long it actually does take to investigate a matter, gather the evidence, get to a DA, get him to issue an indictment or take it to a grand jury, bust the perp, let his mouthpiece convince a judge to let him out five times before trial, schedule a trial date, listen to motions involving that date, the place of the trial, and the evidence, then go through the trial, get a verdict, and FINALLY a sentence. Then it starts again with appeals of the sentence.
We're talking YEARS, not weeks or months as those ignoramuses supposed. |
