We have all had fun with this, but it's obvious he mis-spoke. I am surprised he didn't issue a correction.

Kerry cannot correct himself. There is nothing to correct it too. He has nowhere to go with this lie.

Prince Sihanouk was the leader of Cambodia in 68. We had already stopped supporting him including the CIA. He was deposed by a CIA inspired coup in 70, just a little over a year after Kerry claims to have delivered guns to the Khmer Rouge. We then helped General Lon Nol gain power. He then cooperated with the invasion of the fishook area and other incursions to attack the NVA.

We were not supporting anyone in Cambodia in late 68. That is part of what what makes Kerry's story, as he told it, on Meet The Press, a bizarre lie that he cannot change.
