He understands the power of words, and he has an effective lead pitch man and a loyal disciplined sales organization. These guys agonize over the subtle, sub-conscious meaning of every word in the message, and once they get it right they ALL stick to the script. They frame the debate, they frame the competition. It's very impressive; most any corporation should be jealous of the Bush marketing/sales organization. The crap they've "sold" is unbelievable. The Dems really need to get their act together. But they can't "sell their brand" by trying to be the same as the Republicans. They have to differentiate and then promote one message. Liberals are not good at that; progressives almost by definition continually second guess each other. They evolve their positions rather than rely on dogma. John
