I may have missed something but I understand the near hysteria every time the issue is raised. Why so much opposition to full investigation of these issues such that the truth finally comes out? If there is nothing to it, if it is just the touts' way of executing more scams, why would the "shorting community" or the hedge fund defenders object to full disclosure? Isn't that what "crusaders" seek?

I think I've been pretty clear in opposing scammy companies and management that breaches its fiduciary duty to shareholders. I'm all for legislation, regulation and interpretation that brings fairness to the markets, irrespective of whether the scams originate from management, touts, shorts, hedge funds or supposed market makers, or even some combination of the same.
