Except for the people in the palestinian territories jumping up and down in celebration the day of 9/11. No surprise that you have selective memory.

Have you forgotten the words of almost every ME government in the passing of 9-11?

You want to focus on a small group of Palestinians, who incidentally do have a bone to pick with the US. We have been supporting Israel, and Israel has had it's thumb on the backs of Palestinians. The jumping and cheering of Palestinians, probably had more to do with a Bush Administration that had turned a blind eye to the situation in Israel.

Our troops are not bombing innocents. Incidents like bombing a wedding party because they were shooting guns in the air have happened. But to say they are somehow targeting civilians is yet ANOTHER slap in the face of all of our troops.

When bombers fly over a large crowded city like Baghdad and drop bombs on buildings, there are going to be a lot of innocents hurt and killed...and there were. When some one calls in that they "know" where Saddam is and they take out an entire building to get one man...they kill everyone in the building...including the dishwasher, the maid and the toilet bowl scrubber. They did this twice...destroyed blocks of the city. The damage was so extensive, that they didn't even know for weeks whether they hit the intended target...Saddam...and they missed both times! Rumsfeld just calls this collateral damage...but it's worse than that, it's planting the seeds of hate, and future terrorists.

Bombs dropped in Baghdad, Mosul, Falujah, Tikrit...cities destroyed. North, south, east and west. This is not a slap in the face of the troops...don't be stupid. They just do what they are told to do. It's a slap in the face of the CIC and his SOD Rumsfeld.

Re: The patriot act was passed

.....with a majority of BOTH repubs and dems.

And now it has been criticized by both parties, as it was rushed through congress.

Re: This nation could have been a phoenix rising from the ashes of 9-11

We are. You just cannot see it because you are just blinded by your HATE.

No we are not...we went the wrong direction into Iraq. Our mission was hijacked by a bunch of PNAC lunatics. I'm not blinded by hate. I am making the same calm assessment of this administration's policy that half of this nation has made along with about three quarters of the world's population. It's not hate...it's disbelief that Bush hijacked our nation in to a war in Iraq.
