As of this morning I am:

50% TIP funds
25% real estate
15% PM miners, mostly juniors
5% physical metal
5% cash

The money in TIPS varies dramatically depending on my current view of where the equity markets are headed (I use them like a money market fund), which is not necessarily the same as my economic outlook as I am primarily a short-term technical trader of the broader equities. I've been in and out of the broader equities a number of times in the last 2 years. The PM money has mostly come from tech stocks over the last couple of years as the juniors have shown some life.

My approach is not for everyone, as it requires a lot of analysis and attention to data flow -- but, it has worked for me as I have been able to achieve an average 16% annual rate of return on my investments since 1990, with no years of negative returns. My goal is 10% per year, so I use that target to help guide my decision making.

Oddly enough, my beer and pizza shares never seem to stay around long enough to appreciate. Go figure!
