Hi mike. Yes I'm well aware of the "well regulated" clause. Have you ever heard of an "unarmed" militia?

The problem with the 2'nd Amendment crowd is specifically that they don't think weapons should be restricted to militia. They focus on the freedom to keep weapons, not the "well regulated" militia part. Suppose Bush were to propose that all weapons in private ownership needed to be registered with state militia, and that all gun owners likewise needed to join the state militia and be subject to the duties and regulations of said organization. What do you think the NRA's comments on that little proposal would be?
