Value-Added Resellers Lakota and Holbech EL A/S Market Telkonet's HSIA System

GERMANTOWN, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 2005--Telkonet, Inc. (Amex:TKO - News), the leader in commercial powerline communications (PLC), announced today that two value-added resellers (VARs) - Lakota and Holbech EL A/S - are marketing Telkonet's high-speed Internet access system in France and Denmark, respectively. Lakota, based in Paris and established in 1998, provides turnkey broadband Internet solutions for visitor-based network applications, specializing in the hospitality market in Paris. Holbech EL A/S, a 25-year old company, is an established independent electrical contracting company specializing in electrical rewiring of buildings throughout Denmark. Both companies will represent Telkonet's system, which delivers in-building broadband Internet access over a building's existing electrical wiring.
In anticipation of Telkonet's CE approval, in 2004, both Lakota and Holbech EL A/S signed up as VARs to trial Telkonet's high-speed Internet access system in various commercial applications. Lakota has successfully trialed and demonstrated Telkonet's system in hotels and in university dormitories. Michelle Leonard, Managing Director of Lakota, commented, "Telkonet's PLC system fits in well with our overall product portfolio and is compatible with our billing system. We have been impressed with how easy the system is to install each time we demonstrate the Telkonet system."

In addition, Holbech EL A/S has tested Telkonet's system in hotel applications and has proven that Telkonet offers an ideal solution, especially for hotels that aren't ready to invest in expensive CAT-5 to rewire their hotel for broadband Internet access. Claus Holbech, Director of Holbech EL A/S, stated, "Telkonet's PLC system is such a simple, cost-effective, reliable solution to high-speed Internet access. Any building - regardless of age or infrastructure - can be Internet-enabled by simply using the building's existing electrical wiring for Internet connectivity."

 About Telkonet

Telkonet's products provide connectivity over existing electrical wiring and do not require the costly installation of additional wiring or major disruption of business activity. In many situations, the Telkonet system can be implemented more quickly and less expensively than adding dedicated wiring or installing a wireless system. The Telkonet family of networking and internetworking products offers a viable and cost-effective alternative to the challenges of hardwiring and wireless local area networks (LANs). Telkonet's products are designed for use in commercial and residential applications, including multi-dwelling units and the hospitality and government markets.
