Quick question: Does anybody know of a trading instrument (etf, bear fund, stock, whatever) that somebody can "buy" to realize inverse market gains, as like a bear fund?

The hitch is that the account would have less than $2K in it, and broker won't let them short stocks, per se, unless the balance is over $2K. ProFunds and Rydex minimums are $15000 and $25,000.

Any ideas appreciated,
J.K.

P.S. The deal is, I have a good client who wants his older son to manage his own trading account, to get his feet wet (or dirty -g-).
