No spin is required. You can be snatched off the street, held incommunicado and as long as you're "officially" a terrorist as described by current laws that can include nearly anyone...you're gone.
Every legal channel that was once available can be circumvented with even the reasons for the circumvention held secret.
The bar will get lower and lower.
