"Just show up at the emergency room and claim to be an illegal alien with no insurance." This is not exactly a great way to get healthy as you usually need follow up treatment. It might do for a quick fix (like a broken leg) but otherwise it is totally unsatisfactory. In fact it might be interesting to see how this system will work in case of a flu pandemic where emergency will be overloaded and therefore most uninsured will not be able to get treatment. Our system is incredibly flawed!
