Thx for the interesting comments re:APG's Baduk property. Is that near YRI's concessions?
I've never doubted that Indonesias COW for mining concessions is a good system. I have trouble with the integrity of the people. Have to remember that when the Indos thot BXM had the "goods", they were splitting the mine amongst themselves, reducing BXM's share by 50%, the rest going to Jim Bob Moffat & Billy Joe Bob Hasan.
Any idea when 7th generation COWS will be approved/issued? When cows are issued will YRI begin a drill program immediately? Are drills, RC or diamond, readily available? When drilling commences have the target areas been decided?
How did TNK get that tiny concession smack in the middle of SP & SPS? Seems odd!?!?
Thx for keeping us YRI'ers updated on a timely basis.

Tierra del Fuego reconnaissance results Yamana Resources Inc YRI Shares issued 27,300,000 Sep 3 close $1.80 Thu 4 Sept 97 News Release Mr Greg Taylor reports Positive results from its first geochemical and geological reconnaissance program in Tierra del Fuego, Chile, have led the company to establish seven properties covering 11,700 hectares there. A geological field party, with sea-going boat and helicopter support, spent five months conducting geological cross-traverses and geochemical sampling surveys at the southern tip of Chile. The team collected samples from more than 1,200 sites, including suites of rock and soil samples from Yamana's seven claim areas. The targets are volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization in a Jurassic/Cretaceous volcanic belt which is part of a 400km long geological trend extending east into Argentina. Significantly anomalous values in precious and base metals have been found: rock float from pyritic breccia zones up to 2.50 g/t Au, 404 g/t Ag; sulphide stockworks in intrusives to 6.5% Zn, 0.62 g/t Au; and, stream sediments to 2.03 g/t Au . The terrain in which Yamana's new concessions are located contains rhyolite domes and flows similar to those in Argentina and which host commercial VMS deposits around the world. However, the results in Chile indicate a bias towards gold potential. The region has had no previous systematic metals exploration because of its remoteness, which adds to the intrigue. Results of the first field season have been promising, with much follow-up warranted. Yamana plans to continue its examination at the end of winter, in November, and to seek a joint venture partner.
