Elbit Systems Ltd Signs $23 Million Contract With A European Country
To Supply Tank Fire Control Systems For Armor Brigade Modernization
HAIFA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--September 3, 1997--Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ-NM Symbol: ESTLF)
announced today that it has received a contract from a European country to supply automatic Thermal Fire Control Systems
(TFCS) for a tank modernization program.
Elbit Systems was selected following a comprehensive test and evaluation program with the participation of several leading
manufacturers of TFCS in the world.
Under this contract valued at $23 million, Elbit Systems will provide it TFCS as well as a comprehensive Integrated Logistic
Support Package. Production deliveries are scheduled to begin in January 1998, and will be completed in 1999. The optical
subsystems will be provided by ELOP Electro-optics Industries, which will act as a subcontractor to Elbit Systems.
Elbit Systems Ltd. is a world leader in Tank Fire Control Systems, Turret Drive and Stabilization Systems as well as a major
contractor for general Tank Upgrading programs.
