I have a great sense of humor....even a juvenile one. But attacking the very people who provide us a great site is not funny nor is it the way to handle things. We have 2 groups with differing opinions. What I want is for our group to win on style and substance. To do so we can't very well alienate the SI admin. While SI could clarify some rules I think we should be careful what we ask for because it may not benefit us given the way we attack some posters. Dave, Bob and SI in general need to be respected. They wont take away our right to discuss politics or current events and make our opinions known. What they're asking is that we do so in a civil way so as not to create an extra workload in policing the threads. I can live with that and I think most everyone else can to. You can win the battle of ideas and still be civil. Suma is a great example of this. She and I differ on the means but I like her a lot. She's a great person. Some of the others aren't so great but I think the best way to handle that is with class. Allow others to be combative, screaming morons while we maintain our cool. It's a winning combination and SI wont suspend anyone for taking the high road. WRT Dave - I don't think he wants to flash his badge at all. He isn't Barney Fife. He's a good guy and he just needs to keep things cool so that SI (our chat home) can continue to attract quality people. I'm not singling anyone our right now.....I have in some other posts and I'll do it again if people want to raise the stakes with me. I know I'm standing on high, solid ground.
