My father had a tear in his aorta and was in a coma, only 76 and still played 18 holes pulling his clubs the week before. The doc said go home and the hospital would call. I stayed and was watching the Bears win when he woke up. SOB, the Bears are winning thing. He was wide awake and sitting up and we talked all night. He kept asking for water and I kept getting it for him. Finally asked a nurse, oxygen is a drying agent and the water part hadn't been refilled because he was supposed to be in a coma or dead. If I hadn't been there he would have had a terrible thirst.
