The team of legal firms will take about three times the figure you posted. In addition SEC and the DOJ will dip into the $20 million pot.
To have pursued an individual suit for fraud would require you to have very large financial resources. I would doubt you could have found a law firm who would take such a suit on a contingency basis. After all the company was bankrupt would the award money come from if you did win such an individual suit???
The newly enacted federal law limiting class action fees to be gained by suing law firms does not apply to this case because it was started long before this new law came into being.
