Looks like the gold commercials are expecting lower gold prices which implies a stronger dollar, and higher interest rates. The T-bond commercials seem to expect lower rates (at least briefly)

So who will win in this smart money versus smart money contest?

Short-term wiggles aside --my money is on the gold commercials.

Why can't both be right?
The US$ can easily chop around going nowhere and gold fall.
The Euro dropped abut 4 cents or something and gold got crucified.

Gold dropped $5 on a mere .12 rise or whatever in the US$ index.
Why cant that keep happening?

OTOH if foreign central banks really want to start some fireworks all they have to say is that reserves will be moved to gold. Wouldnt that be something?
