Beautiful. Of course the Palm Springs/Palm Desert with the backdrop of the protective Santa Rosa(?) Mountains and the hundreds of lush golf courses is always beautiful. This morning the clouds and sun give the "desert" a light and shadow look that is especially exotic.

The real desert to the east, i.e., Joshua Tree, is supposed to be spectacular with carpets of wild flowers and the ocatillo in bloom. desertusa.com

Haven't been yet; will try to go next week. I strongly recommend it, especially for anyone who has never seen the desert in bloom. May be the best in 20 years.
