I think it makes sense to stress that Cedars-Sinai hospital is a nonprofit organization which was built in great part on donations, so I guess, its cost structure doesn't allow for a profit or for repayment of a significant debt. OTOH doctor's charges are exorbitant. They charge $200-$300 for a 5 minute visit. Plus huge amount of cash is spent on insurances and lawyers.
