GST, you do realize that your views are very far from those of the American people, don't you? If they weren't, Bush would be out of office. You can see that far, can't you?

As for 'scare-mongering about WMDs', we only know what we know now about Iraq because we invaded. If we had fussed with inspectors for another year, we would have had another year of 'the Iraqis say they destroyed everything without a record, and the scientists are terrified and Saddam won't let them out of the country.'

So what we know in that case? Used to have WMDs, can't find them anymore, denies having them, fill in conclusion here.....

Sanctions were crumbling. If the US had been forced to back off, sanctions would have fallen away completely. Once that happened, Saddam would have been free to go shopping. He could have gone to AQ Khan's Sam's Club for Nukes (which incidentally, we also only know about because of the GWOT), and how long would that have taken?

And what would you have said, after Saddam was found to have purchased nukes? Why didn't Bush do something to prevent it!
