Something you need to factor in is that when Hitler was elected, about half of all Germans lived in villages with a population of 2k or less. Another 25% lived in towns from 2k to 100k. Guess which groups turned out for Hitler in the largest numbers?


The red voters.......I mean one of the 50% who lived in towns < 2k? <g>

Even now, Germany is not a country of big cities.....even with its total population of 80 million people. Berlin is the largest at 3.2 million, hardly a big number for a world capital. Next largest is Hamburg with 1.5 million. Germany is really a country of small cities and towns.

If I were to move there, I think I would live in Berlin. Did you see the Bourne Supremacy.....great shots of Berlin?
