A third party would be nice. I had some hopes that Perot would be able to pull it off, but he let his ego get in the way. Personally, I think Populism is due for a come back tour, both current parties are pretty much corporate parties. As Kinky Friedman put it, "Today, Texans have no choice for their leadership except paper or plastic". This applies not only to Texas, but the whole country.

We will see how the Kinkster does in his run for governor of Texas. His stance is very Populist. I think he has a good shot. Having a sense of humor and name recognition doesn't hurt...
