CB, I never said that I was eager to kill anyone. I even said in a post, that I didn't want to see anyone die. So make a note of that for future reference.
Christopher Reeve could think, and speak. He was able to communicate what his wishes were. The same is not true of Terri. I have not heard if Terri needed help to breathe, or not, but a respirator is an artificial way to "help" one breathe. It is not the same as not being able to breathe at all with out a breathing tube. Reeve could chew, and swallow, when someone put the food in his mouth. Terri can not, and needs a tube shoved down her throat, into her stomach to receive nourishment. There are significant differences between Terri, and Christopher.
I am not the authority of whether Terri lives, or dies, so get off my back on that one. If there was a lot of money to be received by Michael upon her death, I would say that he is lying about the instructions he said she gave to him, but since there is no more money to be had by him, it indicates that he is going through all of the controversy to abide by her wishes.
Actually, whether she is allowed to die, is none of my, yours, or anyone else's business, except the doctors, and the judges. Any legislation regarding situations like this, would be reversed very soon as being unconstitutional. The politicians that are involved in this, are doing so for their own advancement in the political field, and nothing more. They are always looking for a band wagon to make them look like the good guys. |
