re: Well, I remember that during the 1992 presidential campaign, the Carville/Clinton response to GOP campaign rhetoric was very quick and mean spirited. Different than anything I'd seen before. That apparently escalated into the "tit for tat" political rhetoric we have now. On both sides. Now it's just a nit picking got ya routine. Teddy et. al. are a perfect example.

BS. Could you site a specific example?

Rove and Co. have taken political marketing to a new level. The scripts, the audience, the crafted message tested by focus groups, the millions to PR firms, the packaged "news" releases, the faux reporters. These guys are pros, my hat is off to them...

Clinton was just a silver tongued devil. He had class.
