Thank you for your input. It does look like recent research supports smoking actually causing anxiety disorders, not the other way around. Teens who smoke are more liable to develop anxiety disorders as adults, in fact.

So if someone who has developed an anxiety disorder from smoking quits, wouldn't the anxiety order subside as well?
