Republican party is very much anti-small business.

Government as a whole is anti small business. Democrats IMHO are more anti-small business. Since they desire to keep unions in their fold, they must promote regulations that help unions and help recruit union members. Unions are generally more successful recruiting members from larger corporations than from many small businesses. It therefore follows that Democrats would promote large business to the detriment of small business. This is consistent with what I have observed. Democrats support requiring all health insurance plans to include big benefits, thus pricing many small businesses out of insurance benefits.

My brother claims that the increasingly mandated benefits contributed significantly to the cost increases that forced him to cancel health insurance benefits in his small business. There are many more examples.

Please understand that your example did not make your point. Increasing regulation is anti small business, and your example indicated that Republicans resisted increasing regulation, but that Democrats increased them anyway.

We can debate the morals and ethics of health insurance regulation. That is a different topic.

IMO Democrats are the party of the very wealthy and the poor. IMO Republicans are the part of the middle class. You might consider which party gives you a better hope for a prosperous future.
