Emile, It is not a matter "of supporting reliable allies" but of a tine foreign nation CONTROLLING the Congress of the United States! Sure, Israeli lobby is there, but I think you are stretching things when you say they are controlling anything. A congressman can be supportive, neutral or hostile to Israel. The lobby can make things difficult for someone hostile to Israel, representing a mainstream district. But they can't make someone who is a non-hostile or lukewarm supporter into a strong supporter. Dangling money only works on Democrat, and their current role in congress is that of the fifth wheel on the cart. Republicans don't get much, if any funding from Jews, they don't get many votes. Their support of Israel is entirely voluntary. Joe
