Fidelity purchases shares of Hydrogenics Corp.
Wednesday March 2, 4:55 pm ET

BOSTON, MA, March 2 /CNW/ - Fidelity Management & Research Company and Fidelity Management Trust Company, of 82 Devonshire Street, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, as well as Fidelity International Limited of 42 Crow Lane, Pembroke, Bermuda (hereinafter referred to as "Fidelity") announce that certain funds for which Fidelity serves as investment adviser have purchased 7,600 shares on February 23rd 2005 of Hydrogenics Corp. Fidelity has control but not ownership of these shares.
As a result of the purchase on February 23rd 2005 and subsequent purchases, Fidelity currently holds 9,811,102 shares (or 10.72%) of Hydrogenics Corp.'s common stock. Fidelity's purchase of Hydrogenics Corp.'s common stock was executed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Fidelity fund purchases have been made for investment purposes only and not with the purpose of influencing the control or direction of Hydrogenics Corp. The Fidelity funds may, subject to market conditions, make additional investments in or dispositions of securities of Hydrogenics Corp., including additional purchases or sales of common stock.
