Yep, that's the one. Provided I can get the car ready. I won't have the Mustang ready in time (typical beginning-of-season condition -- it's worn out from and in need of repair from the previous season), so will be taking Mrs. Bob's car.

The car that'll likely be staying at home this time out: adserv.stocksite.com

The car I'm planning to take: adserv.stocksite.com

I keep forgetting to remind my daughter to retrieve/compress the picture where I've got the latter car going through a turn with both of the inside tires just slightly airborne. Whenever I tell people it's my wife's car, they always ask if she knows I'm using it. <g>

Fortunately, her car just needs new brakes and it'll be ready to go. I'd really love to make some inexpensive mods to it, but she'll be using it on the track the weekend after my Gateway outing (I'll probably still not have the Mustang ready so the Scoob will see double duty that weekend), and since it'll only be her second time on the track, it's important that the car remain in its current ill-handling but extremely communicative condition.

We'll see if her second outing finally steels her nerves enough that she can ride with me in an instructor session and see what the car really is capable of doing and the rather abusive way it likes to be treated to really get to the razor's edge. She's watched me drive it on the track and is still convinced if she were riding with, she'd blow chunks in her helmet.

Dang! Just remembered my favorite helmet won't be legal this year. Too old. And I don't like the other helmets I bought (as loaners whenever people forget their helmets, which they often do), so I guess I need to make an expensive trip to the motorcycle shop this week.
