I'm sure these actors take on roles they'd just as soon not, but they have a big payment due or a balloon on a loan ect, so they do them for the money.

Leaving LV was one of the most depressing movies I've ever seen, and a big waste of time imo.

Have not seen "In The Cut", which surprises me because I like Meg Ryan and usually see her flix, although I've been angry at her ever since she left Dennis Quaid. Divorce does not exist in my world and I usually always look upon those who do as less than intelligent people. As I get older I realize people change and we can't do anything about that, so maybe I'm being too harsh. But I believe that the time to do discovery is before you get married....even if it takes several years. I've also learned that judging character is a skill that most people don't possess.

I used to like dramatic, gangster type movies until I watched "Goodfellas." That movie cured me of that.

I went through the entire first season of HBOs "Deadwood" last month. Except for having to get past all the foul language (which was an integral part of communication for men and a survival tactic)it was an interesting and realistic look at life in the old west during the gold rush in the Black Hills of SD. I'm really looking forward to seeing the second season.

Did you know that Deadwood was the second or third (? SF and WDC may have been the first two, but it was right up there) town in the US to receive telephone service? It was important to be able to communicate the amount of gold taken out to the area.

We personally have a watch fob that was made by my husband's great grandfather from the gold he mined in the Black Hills.
