I think that for any minority group to achieve equality it has to accumulate wealth. I don't think that government mandates do much to help people.

Forgot which comedian told this story, but it goes like:

"Back when I was young and poor the banks wouldn't lend me a nickel, they wanted nothing to do with me. Now that I'm rich they're falling all over each other to lend me money. Funny thing is, I'm still black!"
