<Free college isn't a right. >

It certainly isn't anymore. I had to work 33 hours at minimum wage to earn one semester of full time at a state school in 1975. Today, that is 200 hours.

<HUGE amounts>
You certainly will need it, but you might want to fact-check yourself on that one. Call any financial aid officer and tell them your opinion. When they stop laughing, they'll correct your mistaken beliefs about how available aid actually is - especially for the poor. Then they'll tell you that college is going up at 2-3 x the inflation rate.

I met a guy who was going on about how state schools should charge as much as private schools and that this was all subsidized, blah, blah, blah. Where did he get his degree? State college. He didn't want HIS taxes to go up NOW. It's a common condition - people get theirs and everyone else can just go to hell.
