If you want to Google another copy of that song, it's called "Concert Etude" and is by Alexander Goedicke.

When she performs it at the school's Spring Concert, we'll videotape it like we did last year's solo. I intend to put those performances on her website, but haven't gotten around to even doing last year's yet.

Her first performance of it is for competition in a couple of weeks. So I'm still frantically learning the piano part, especially dealing with all the page turns (10 pages of music) that always happen when I need both hands on the keyboard.

Her band is also working on Bugler's Holiday (Leroy Anderson -- it used to be a Boston Pops standard) and if the woodwinds can come up to speed on their fairly busy parts, the plan is to have me and a college trumpet major who visited the school last week join her to do the 3 lead trumpet parts, since none of the other trumpet players in her band can double-tongue. They ran through it when the college student was there last week, but it apparently was more a trumpet duet than trio.
