Yes and the vast majority of ANWR will still be pristine (or at least pretty much as pristine as it is now, I'm not sure any large area is 100% pristine anymore) if the drilling is give the ok.

Or is your object like that of Osama when he claimed that US forces in places like Riyadh and Dhahran and "King Khalid Military City", sullied Mecca and Medina many miles away.

Edit - Just to make it clear I am not accusing you of being like Osama in terms of his violence, hatred, ect. But he was the only example I could think of this type of thing, where if a region, area, whatever is given one name (ANWR, Saudi Arabia), than it is all "sullied" if anything unwanted is in any part of it.
