ManyMoose,
Thanks, I will do that.

Reflecting on some things now that they are both back in the USA, just some rambling, not the usual parent stuff I guess, ggg.

Before our daughter was to leave for boot camp, now almost 5 years ago, I took her to the range with an AR-15 for some practice, figured it would help. We often shot for recreation when she was growing up, but not an AR. She took top PT awards in boot, but had an old AR on the range she couldn't get along with. This week she is shooting in the Marine matches. I have many pictures of her in Kuwait, always carrying an M-16. Always.

Her husband is like a son to me, great kid. Before he left for Iraq the first time, we went to the range and shot pistol.
I am ranked "High Master" in combat pistol, son in law was good, but couldn't beat me on the targets then. Son in law carried the big rocket during his first Iraqi tour and depended on a pistol for his personal weapon, so again, I thought some practice would help. Around the time of the Jessica Lynch rescue in Nasiriyah, his Marine unit stormed a Fedayeen HQ and took it. During the fight he was rounding a corner the same time an Iraqi Fedayeen with an AK-47 rounded another corner. Iraqi opened up with the AK-47 and began to swing it from the hip toward him, but son in law shot him between the eyes with his 9MM Beretta before the AK swung into the kill zone. When son in law came home and visited on leave, we went to range again. After the first tour, he beat me on some targets. I think the next time we go to the range after this his second tour, I might actually be nervous he will beat me more than half the time, but I'll be thankful in any case, ggg!!

Best,
Roebear
