"Courage was the largest bondholder of Shoney's Inc. as the dining chain struggled mightily earlier this decade, Patton said."

Courage was also a 5% shareholder in Shoney's. The stock traded at .37 before being delisted, and the debt was paid off at 25 cents on the dollar.

"The stock's saying they're going to fix the financing somehow," said one industry analyst, speaking on condition that his name be withheld.

The stock price isn't terribly relevant. Enron sold for $8 the day before filing if I remember correctly. The real indicator is how much Wachovia is asking to unload the debt.
