There is a difference between brain damaged where one can subsist on ones own and being resuscitated and living on life support. Regardless of religion or any morale implications if Terry had not been resuscitated she would have died a natural death.

However, most patients who are in her present condition without benefit of food and water are usually sedated with morphine. This not only takes away any suffering but assists in ones ultimate demise.
