I don't understand how parents can be "after the money" by asking their daughter to be kept alive. They are not getting the money anyway, whether she lives or dies.

As I understand it, the only way parents would get half of the money would be if the husband divorced her, but he isn't about to do that, even after two kids with another woman, is he?

I am sorry if you think I am "conjuring up the concept of pain and suffering". I thought it would be a given that starving a human being is inflicting suffering on that person. Morphine or no morphine.

Even if she were killed there on the spot with a lethal injection (which I think would be more human, btw), my main objection is to taking her life. Especially in a place where euthanasia is illegal, and that even with a consenting adult wanting to die.
