Dow Jones News Service via Dow Jones BURBANK, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Walt Disney Co.'s (DIS) Buena Vista Home Entertainment unit plans to offer DVD products in the U.S. and abroad, with product to be available in the U.S. as early as Christmas. In a press release Thursday, Buena Vista said its plans for overseas distribution will closely follow the availability of DVD hardware. Buena Vista said "the timing is right" to offer Disney's endorsement of the DVD format. Buena Vista manages Disney's home video business and distributes Disney interactive products worldwide.
