Looked it up also. Hundreds of manufacturers of cyanide.
Also noted that most intense release of cyanide into the environment is road salt (water) and cigarette smoke (air).

From Roebear's article re shortage of drill rigs - even more critical is the shortage of personnel.

comment on effect of higher energy prices I note that Newmont has invested in Canadian Oil Sands project to effectively get a hedge on their consumption - $27 a barrel.
