On China,

I saw an interesting talk by Tim Clissold, author of Mr. China and a very interesting speaker.

He said that China had managed to lift 250 million people out of abject poverty in the last 20 years. By any measure an astounding statistic. Not without costs, environmental, social and other, but still astounding.
